Decorative climbing wall. Competition. Castellón, Spain.

To bring new life into a forgotten urban space, this design turns the closed back wall of a museum into a climbing wall using an adaptation of local traditional ceramic tiles.

New sculptural tiles in various shapes replace existing tiles to form a supersized traditional ceramic pattern.

A 2 by 2 meter grid of hooks for attaching safety ropes completes the transformation into climbing wall.
